Across The Work
About Wendell
Wendell Mosby is a social studies and civics educator, founder, author, speaker, and community builder whose work sits at the intersection of education, technology, health advocacy, and civic leadership.
In the classroom, he studies what happens before achievement becomes visible: the moment a student begins, asks a question, persists, revises, takes ownership, or helps someone else. That work became the Pre-Achievement Framework.
Outside the classroom, Wendell builds from lived experience, creating programs, tools, stories, and organizations that help families and communities move from an idea to something useful, visible, and sustainable.
Over twenty years, he has served as a nonprofit leader, community college trustee, and community organizer. He founded the DJing for Diabetes Foundation, was quoted in The Wall Street Journal on teaching students about January 6th, and is the author of Crisis Proves Character and Finding My Voice. His newest project, Ready Gary, is an emergency-preparedness coloring book for Gary's children.
WIMP
What started as a childhood nickname became a creative spark, a clothing brand, and eventually a life philosophy. Today, Walking In My Purpose is the thread connecting Wendell’s work in education, storytelling, health advocacy, civic leadership, fatherhood, and community impact.
